Twilight - Outdoor Space & the PSBP

6pm - 8pm - 19th September 2012, BCSE Offices, 1 Naoroji Street, WC1X 0GB

On the 19th September the BCSE will be holding a London Twilight at our offices looking at the PSBP and outdoor space in partnership with Learning through Landscapes.  This Twilight will discuss how we can work together to face current challenges and protect and make best use of outdoor spaces in schools.

Learning through Landscapes is an educational charity that helps children to connect with nature, become more active, learn outdoors, develop social skills and have fun. They operate largely within the context of school grounds and provide schools and early years settings with the skills and expertise that they need to create and use flexible outdoor learning and play spaces.

The Priority Schools Building Programme offers the opportunity for LTL to help schools make the very best of the space that they have available to them. Major building work and site improvement programmes can often leave schools with a much changed outdoor space. Sometimes space is significantly reduced if additional classrooms have to be incorporated into the refurbishment. By working together we can ensure that schools are clear about the potential of their outdoor space and are supported to use it effectively and creatively for the benefit of their teachers and pupils enhancing their learning experiences and adding value to the programme of work.

To reserve a place for this Twilight please email Suzanne. As with all our Twilight sessions attendees will be asked to provide a donation of £20 which will go to Learning through Landscapes.
