Basic Need Policy Discussion Lunch - Confirmed Speakers

Monday 10th September 2012 -- 12.15 until 3pm

Graham Stuart MP, chair of the Education Select Committee will be hosting our annual policy lunch at the House of Commons. The lunch will include cross party attendees and will be a discussion on how policy and industry should be tackling the basic need issues. The timing of this event is to lead into party conference season.

Graham Stuart MP

Graham Stuart is the Conservative Member of Parliament for Beverley and Holderness. He was elected by the House of Commons to serve as Chairman of the Education Select Committee in May 2010.

Pat Glass MP

Pat Glass is the Labour Member of Parliament for North West Durham. She was elected in May 2010 having worked for 25 years in senior posts in education. Pat is one of five Labour MPs on the Education Select Committee.

Dr Caroline Whalley – Elliott Foundation

Dr Caroline Whalley is the Founder and CEO of the Elliot Foundation, a charitable multi-academy trust specialising in the Primary sector. She is also a Trustee of SHINE Trust (Support and Help IN Education) and City Year, London’s leading youth and education charity.
