Decent School Standard Survey

The BCSE has been leading the development of a Decent School Standard that will help to inform guidance and standards around learning environments. The aim of the Decent School Standard is to help schools make the right decisions about the design and use of their environment. It is not about providing schools with definitive answers, we do not believe that one size fits all. However, there are lessons to be learnt about the impact of the environment so schools can understand the implication of any decisions taken.

This questionnaire is the next step we are taking to gather evidence about current learning environments from the stakeholders that usethem. You can complete the surveys online via survey monkey or download pdf versions to fill in and send back to us. Feel free to adapt questions to personalise the questionnaires to specific students needs.

If you have any questions about the survey or the decent school standard please email us.

It is only with evidence that we will be able to create effective and efficient learning environments. We need you support to help us to develop a well informed decent school standard.
