BCSE Trustee Recruitment

The BCSE has been through many changes in the past six months and I hope you will agree that it has been a positive time for all. During this period the trustees and team have been developing a Three Year Strategy.  To support our ambitious developments we are now looking to expand the current Board of Trustees.

We are looking for candidates (members and non-members) who will complement the skills and knowledge of current trustees. We are keen to ensure that we are representative of all those with an interest in effective learning environments.

The current board is as follows:

Rachel Jones (Chair) -- Steljes (supplier)
Clive Birch -- Buro Four (consultant)
Jeremy Eavis (Treasurer) -- Apollo Education (contractor)
John Jenkins -- Haverstock Associates (architect)
Michael Buchanan -- Galliford Try (contractor)
Darren Talbot -- Davis Langdon (consultant)

We are looking for applicants with experience in organisations such as:

Education Providers (Local Authorities and Multi Academy Trusts)
Teaching Associations
Schools
FE Colleges
Universities
Educationalists / Researchers
Contractors
Suppliers (lighting/acoustics/furniture/ICT etc)
Architects
Designers
Consultants (engineering/cost/project management/environmental etc)

This is not an exclusive list and we welcome interest from individuals with commitment and interest in our mission.

Please download the documents on this page for more information on the Trustee role description and the application process. If you have any questions about becoming a Trustee please direct them to Rachel Jones in the first instance.

I'm looking forward to our bright future with the BCSE

Kind regards

Rachel Jones

Chair of BCSE Board of Trustees
