"Just another brick in the wall? How can school design benefit teacher wellbeing?"
Date: Wednesday 25th June
Venue: BCSE, 2nd Floor Downstream Building, I London Bridge, London SE1 9BG
Time: 14.15 – 16.00
In 2007 Teacher Support Network and the British Council for School Environments ran an online survey asking teachers for their opinions on their school environment and the impact this has on teaching and learning and pupil behaviour. It found that only 12 per cent of respondents thought that their school buildings offered an effective learning environment.
These results show a real need to change the way that schools are designed and built. We would therefore like to invite you to share your experience and expertise at a half day roundtable event which will explore the issues surrounding this problem and come up with practical solutions to tackle it.
By bringing together key figures from teacher wellbeing, teaching and learning and school building we hope to improve the future working environments for both teachers and pupils.
To book please e-mail your name, address and e-mail to raquel.vazquez@teachersupport.info with the subject line: I would like to attend - Just another brick in the wall?
